It’s ‘Tacoma Artist Thursday’! Today we are featuring Chad Hagedorn.
“I’ve been a contributor, fan and follower of the Tacoma arts scene since 2000. By day I’m a substance abuse counselor, competitive open water swimmer and U.S. Masters swim coach. By night I make music in my multimedia production studio, GreySlade Media, always with the intentions of creating something truly new as well as helping others achieve their unique visions. As a music producer and musician, this project is my most ambitious recording to date: Except For Sometimes by My Own Invention is a 17-track sonic adventure featuring some of Tacoma’s finest musical talents. More than 20 people are involved. This album is an experimental, yet accessible, concoction of diverse sounds and song arrangements from diverse people. Styles on this album include: art rock, vaudeville, doo-wop, hip-hop, traditional sounds from other countries and cultures, brass band, school choir, hard rock, indie rock, electronica, acoustic, acid jazz, alternative, progressive, blues, and so much more.”
